Ghost Rider Trailer - click to check it out.
Well, after years of talking about it, they're finally putting out a Ghost Rider film. Nic Cage is playing the fiery skulled one, and above you'll find a trailer for the latest upcoming comic-book adaptation.
Yeah, I don't really have much to say about this. It might be cool, but I'm kind of over comic-book adaptations. I still haven't seen X-Men 3 or Superman... I'm just so... meh! I hate how Hollywood just jumps on the bandwagon and rapes it dry. Comic book films used to be an event, and I'd work myself up to their release, but now there's so many of them (and so many lacklustre ones too) that I just don't care anymore.
Likewise, prior to Lord of the Rings, there were virtually no fantasy films getting made (at least none with a budget over $2), but since Peter Jackson and New Line took a gamble on the a big budget attempt at the genre (a genre that - at best - had been considered pretty much unfilmable up until this point, and - at worst - considered dated) well, now everyone's getting into it (EG. Eragon). I should be happy that fantasy films are getting made now, but it just annoys me because I know that once it becomes easier for a genre or kind of film to get made it means that a whole lot of lesser quality stuff will start getting pumped out.
Anyway, rant over.
Ghost Rider trailer, yeah, watch it.

"A stunt motorcyclist (Cage) sells his soul to the devil to save his dying father's life. As a result, he becomes the flame-skulled, fiery-motorcycle-riding combatant of evil known as Ghost Rider."
Ive never heard of this comic, and I don't think I want to see the movie.
I agree with the whole, Hollywood finds something cool, then flogs it until they can't squeeze another cent out of it.
