New James Bond trailer
September 10th 2006 01:42
Wasn't gonna post anything today but then I saw this and I thought 'hey yo, this shit be up yo!'
No, not really, I didn't think that.
This is the trailer for the new James Bond movie 'Casino Royale'. I'm not sure how I feel about this guy being Bond. I'm not really a huge Bond fan or anything but I think Clive Owen would've been so good... he has those icy cold, hard man qualities they seemed to be aiming for. Daniel Craig could be great but I still don't know ay...
Some mad action in this trailer. Not sure about the film's premise. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

I am a massive fan of the Connery/Dalton Bonds and the books.
The trailer for this looks quite average, this PC, non womanizing, non threating incarnation looks dull.
I doubt I will see this till DVd because the Pierce Brosnan films were so bad they have left me scarred.

then again, I've only seen the first two. And 'Tomorrow Never Dies' was pretty dull...

The closest Pierce Brosnan came to appearing in James Bond film was John Boorman's spy gem The Tailor Of Panama.
If Brosnan had been allowed to play the darker Connery/Dalton Bond we may have had something worthwhile.
Its not his fault that they decided to make bond more about charm that ruthless skill and made him a sensitive male instead of cold blooded assassin.
The end result though was some of the weakest films the franchise has seen.
